Revere's House Paul
Revere was a master silversmith, bellmaker, and general all-around
people's guy. He also had the unique charge of riding south to warn
the militias in those towns when the British Redcoasts were approaching.
When the time came he rode out successfully warning his colonial counterparts.
The book, The Tipping Point, describes how Revere was a real
networker and highly personable. These characteristics greatly facilitated
his ride south. He knew exactly where to go and with whom to talk.
The man charged with riding north, William Dawes, did not share these
qualities and his effort has been nearly lost to history. |
