New England Holocaust Memorial

Perhaps right between Government Center and Quincy Market might seem a strange place for a Holocaust Memorial, but walking through carries you away from the place, if only for a moment. Nazi concentration camp survivors who located in Boston sponsored the memorial which opened in 1995. The tall stacks and steam rising up echo back to the crematoria of Dauchau, Treblinka, and other infamous names.
