Marisol and Jon are designing an environmentally conscious house in the suburbs of San José, Costa Rica. The house will be built on a lot co-owned by Marisol and her sister. It will have solar panels, rainwater catchment, grey water irrigation, lots of ventilation, composting, and green space. The estimated price of the house is about (don’t laugh!) $40,000. Currently they have $8,500 in the house fund and welcome any contributions.

The current vision of this house is to build it as part of an intentional community (co-housing) in Costa Rica. We will post more information on this topic at a later date.

The visitor walks up the meaninger walkway right next to the driveway. This is the left drawing with green colors. The zinc roof of Marisol’s sister’s house is visible on far left.
